Know Your Rights: What to Do During an ICE Encounter
You have rights, no matter your status
Everyone in the United States has certain basic rights. You have the right to remain silent, the right to not open your door without a signed judicial warrant, and the right to speak with a lawyer.
A few things to remember
Stay calm and do not run. You do not have to sign anything you do not understand. You can say: "I want to remain silent and I want to speak to a lawyer."
