Student Work & Visa Transition Consultation (OPT, CPT & Beyond)

For international students at Texas Tech and across West Texas: a consultation on the immigration-law side of working in the U.S. and planning your future — how OPT and CPT fit into longer-term options, transitioning from an F-1 or J-1 visa to a work visa like H-1B, and the path toward permanent residence.

Important: your school's International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS) and your Designated School Official (DSO) authorize CPT and OPT and keep you in status — always work with them on those. We complement your DSO by helping you understand the bigger immigration picture under attorney supervision. We never guarantee an outcome.

How to access this service

  1. First, confirm anything about your current status, CPT, or OPT with your university's ISSS / DSO — they are the official authority.
  2. Contact us to talk through your longer-term options (work visas, the green-card path) with our attorney-supervised team.
  3. We explain realistic pathways and timelines, and coordinate with your DSO and an immigration attorney where needed.
